Medical assistance at night, at weekends and on public holidays
In the event of emergencies and life-threatening illnesses such as heart attacks, strokes, serious infections (sepsis) and serious accidents, or whenever human life is in danger, please call the emergency services immediately on 112.
The medical on-call service will help you if you are not suffering from a life-threatening illness, but cannot wait until the next consultation hour with your symptoms outside of regular GP care hours. If you have an acute illness that you would normally consult your GP about, please contact the on-call medical service (emergency service) first by dialling 116 117.
The number 116 117 works 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, is free of charge and is valid throughout Germany. You can find more information about the medical on-call service here.
